Halifax RLFC are delighted to announce the latest recipient of a Calderdale Cares donation is Boothtown Juniors who needed an extra £500 so that they could buy some rugby posts to allow the local kids to play matches at their Boothtown base.

Richard Watmough of Halifax RLFC said, “As a Club we donate about £5,000 a year to good causes and charities through the funds of our weekly lottery Cashfax. When we heard that the Boothtown club were struggling to raise enough money to fund their rugby posts we were delighted to help out with a donation. We hope that their junior membership grows now that the team can play locally and that maybe we could see a couple of their players representing us in a few years time down at the Shay.”
